Today, Councilmember Charles Allen officially introduced the Youth Vote Amendment Act of 2018, to lower the voting age to 16 for DC elections. The Vote16DC coalition's press release includes more information and youth perspectives on the news. The bill was co-introduced by five other members of the city council.
